Instructions
  1. Heat the oven to 175°C. Grease 2 8 inch cake tins lightly with baking spray or oil, and line the bottom with parchment.
  2. Whisk together the yogurt, olive oil, sugar, eggs, and Orange essence. Add the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and nutmeg right into the liquids and stir just until no lumps remain.
  3. Divide the cake batter into 3 bowls and mix orange food colouring into one bowl and thr black into another leaving one white cake batter.
  4. Using a spoon alternative the cake batter into the cake tins on top of each other. Do not swirl just layer the batter. (Black, Orange, black, Orange, white) and repeat until all batter is used. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, covering with foil at the end if the top is browning.
  5. When a tester comes out clean, transfer the cakes to a cooling rack and let it cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
  6. Once cooled down it's time to spread the chocolate Orange Frosting on top of the first layer of cake and place the 2nd layer on top like a sandwich.
  7. Now spread the frosting evenly around the cake to allow the icing to stick.
  8. Roll out the Orange icing thinly enough to cover the whole cake.
  9. Roll out the black icing thinly then cut out black stripes and place on top of the Orange icing to represent tiger stripes.
  10. Using the black stripes as stencils to cut around on the Orange icing and place the black stripes into the Orange icing.
  11. Press the stripes into the Orange icing before placing over the cake.
